The channel posted a clip in which Miandad can be seen pronouncing Modi as "moody" and questioning his parentage. He said Modi "has no clue whom he's threatening", and that "all Pakistanis, including children, are waiting to give their lives in a tit-for-tat battle with India". He also called Modi a "rotten egg" and said India was peeved with the progress of the economic corridor between China and Pakistan.
The former batsman's comments appear to be a reaction to the rise in hostilities between India and Pakistan. Bilateral ties took a turn for the worse after the September 18 attack on the Indian Army camp in Jammu and Kashmir's Uri sector. India has accused Pakistan of being involved in the attack and carried out "surgical strikes against terror launchpads" along the Line of Control on September 29. Islamabad, however, has dismissed the claims as baseless.
