Bangladesh did everything right to beat Afghanistan by 141 runs on Saturday in Dhaka and in the process, clinched the series 2-1.
After winning the toss, Bangladesh opted to bat first with opener Tamim Iqbal smashing a brilliant 118. Sabbir Rahman (65) assisted Iqbal and the duo took Bangladesh to 279 at the end of their 50 overs.
The bowlers, who disappointed in the second One Day International, upped their game to dismantle Afghanistan for 138 all out. Mosharraf Hossain was the pick of the bowlers taking 3/24 with Taskin Ahmed grabbing two wickets in the 141-run win. Afghanistan were never in the chase, losing crucial wickets and handing Bangladesh an easy win in the end.
