The big news: Antoine Griezmann on target for Atletico

Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann powered his team to third place in La Liga after his goal helped beat 10-man Deportivo La Coruna 1-0 on Sunday. Griezmann scored his fifth goal of the season as Deportivo’s midfielder Faycal Fajr was sent off after a second yellow card in the first half itself.

Atletico, who host Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday, lost Jose Gimenez and Augusto Fernandez to injury during the clash. However, Diego Simeone's team remains unbeaten this season and are two points behind leaders Real Madrid.
