Swiss tennis star Stanislas Wawrinka on Sunday beat Serbian World No.1 Novak Djokovic to take home the US Open title. Djokovic was the overwhelming favourite as he entered the arena eyeing his 13th Grand Slam. However, Wawrinka outclassed him 6-7(1), 6-4, 7-5, 6-3. The Serb was unable to read Wawrinka’s serve after winning the first set and failed to capitalise on his start.
Wawrinka has two other Grand Slams to his name – the 2015 French Open and the 2014 Australian Open.
