One student was injured while trying to escape a fire that broke out in the library of Presidency University in Kolkata on Friday afternoon, reported PTI. The fire started inside the server room of the central library. Investigators believe a short circuit in one of the air conditioners might have started the blaze, but have not confirmed this.
The student's injuries were minor, police said. After the fire broke out, students and teachers were evacuated from the building and five fire tenders were called in to douse the flames.
