Rain played spoilsport as the final day of the Duleep trophy match between India Red and India Blue. With India Blue ending day three on 285/5, day four was a complete washout as the match ended in a draw. Both teams thus got a point each, which sent India Red into the final after their earlier win over India Green. India Blue and India Green will now play a virtual semi-final to decide India Red's opponents in the summit clash.
Only 78 overs were bowled over the period of four days in the second match of the tournament. India Blue reached 285/5 owing to the heroics of captain Gautam Gambhir and Mayank Agarwal. Kuldeep Yadav once again powered the India Red bowling attack, picking up four wickets with the pink ball.
