Hyderabad meteorology officials measured up to 95.75 mm of rainfall in two hours, while the meteorological department in Gurugram predicted a thunderstorm with rain on Wednesday. In the capital, traffic helpline officials told PTI that they were swamped with calls about traffic jams and cases of water-logging across the city. An official said, “Reports of heavy traffic congestion and vehicles being stuck on roads are coming from different parts of the city since morning. We have till now received more than 100 calls of traffic jams and water-logging."
According to a report by The Times of India, officials said more than 12 flights were delayed in Delhi and that some were diverted to Jaipur. Officials have requested citizens to avoid travelling by road as far as possible.
