A United Nations committee has confirmed six of the nine addresses listed by the Indian government as premises used by underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, PTI reported on Tuesday. The organisation's Security Council ISIL (Da'esh) and Al-Qaida Sanctions Committee found three of the addresses inaccurate, including one that appeared very similar to Pakistan's UN representative Maleeha Lodhi's home.
The Centre had submitted the dossier in August 2015 as evidence that the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts mastermind was living in Pakistan, which has consistently denied allegations of Dawood's presence in the country.
With an underline and strike-through, the committee amended the "Main Property at Margalla Raod F- 6/2 Street No. 22, House No. 07, Islamabad number 29 in Karachi" address. The other addresses the amendment strikes through are "8th Floor of Mehran Square, near Pardesi House-3, Talwar Area, Clifton, Karachi, Pakistan" and "6/A Kjauabam Tanzeem, Phase-5, Defence Housing Araea, Karachi, Pakistan".
