Three youths were arrested on Monday for allegedly abducting and gangraping a seven-year-old girl in east Delhi. The minor has been admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences and is said to be in critical condition.
Senior police officer Ajay Kumar told NDTV that the incident happened on Sunday night when two neighbours of the minor and their friend kidnapped her while she was sleeping with her parents outside their house around 11 pm. The trio – identified as Amir, Bhure and Bhim Sen – allegedly took her to a nearby forest area where they gangraped her. According to The Hindu, the accused abandoned the child near her house after she fell unconscious and started bleeding.
Later, the girl came back home on her own and narrated the incident to her parents. One of the neighbours then informed the police. Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Rishi Pal told The Hindu that all three accused are aged between 19 and 21.
