On the last day of the Rio Olympics, all eyes were on Yogeshwar Dutt, a bronze medallist from the 2012 Olympics, to win a medal in the 65kg freestyle category. However, the 33-year-old failed to get past Mongolia's Mandakhnaran Ganzorig in the qualifying round, losing 0-3.
As the bout began, both players tried their best to outmanoeuvre each other. Dutt lost a point owing for passivity early and went into the break 0-1 down. Ganzorig then grabbed two points after the break to make it 3-0 to seal the match against Dutt.
Later, Ganzorig lost in the quarters which meant Dutt was out of the contention for bronze through repechage.
