Indian golfer Aditi Ashok finished Day 1 of women's golf at the Rio Olympics in an impressive position, tied seventh out of a field of 60, having carded a three-under-par 68.
The 18-year-old from Bengaluru showed no signs of nerves on her debut, and had a bogey-free round, which the men from India had failed to do in their four days on the course.
Ashok was just three shots behind leader Ariya Jutanugarn of Thailand, who shot a six-under-par 65. The Indian had identical rounds of 34 on the front and the back nine.
