Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Tuesday compared Pakistan to hell while speaking about the Indian Army foiling an infiltration attempt by militants along the Line of Control the previous day. Parrikar said, “Kal humare jawano ne paanch logon ko wapas bhej dia, Pakistan mein jaana aur nark mein jaana ek hi hai [Yesterday, our soldiers sent back five militants. Going to Pakistan is the same as going to hell].”

Monday’s infiltration bid was the fourth one along the LoC in the past three weeks, reported The Indian Express. An Army official said they had killed five militants and recovered arms and ammunition. The official said, “Two militants were killed in the initial exchange of firing, while three others were killed late in the day.” Border Security Force Director General KK Sharma said they will deploy more personnel at the Attari-Wagha border to ensure the area is secure.
