Several politicians, including Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal appeared to doze off as Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered his Independence Day speech in Delhi on Monday. Modi spoke for 94 minutes flat, addressing issues of national concern and sending out a strong message to Pakistan on the ongoing Kashmir crisis.
Kejriwal was the first one to be found napping by social media users, reported NDTV. Soon after, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia tweeted that the speech was so boring that even Bharatiya Janata Party leaders and Union ministers could not help but sleep through it.
