India defeated the West Indies by 237 runs after a stunning display by the bowlers on the final day of third Test at Gros Islet, Saint Lucia.
Earlier, India declared its second innings on 217-7 – setting the West Indies a target of 346 – after taking just nine overs on the morning of the fifth day to increase its score from 157-3 overnight. Ajinkya Rahane led the charge.
The bowlers came to the fore as soon as the West Indies began batting, with everyone chipping in with wickets at regular intervals. The West Indies caved in rather abjectly, belying its recent resistance, for just 108.
India has now taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
