Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra qualified for the men's 10-metre air rifle final at the ongoing Games in Rio on Monday. However, another Indian shooter was eliminated. This will be Bindra’s third appearance in the Olympic finals, after winning a gold in 2008.
Bindra, who performed poorly initially, managed to secure the seventh position with an overall score of 625.7. His major comeback was in the third round of shooting. The top eight shooters qualify for the finals, which will be later on Monday night. Narang came 17th.
