The Indian women's archery trio of Laxmirani Majhi, Bombayla Laishram and Deepika Kumari was eliminated from the team event at the Rio Olympics after losing to Russia in the quarter-finals. The match went to a shoot-off after it was tied at 4-4. The Russians prevailed 25-23.
Russia won the first set, but India fought back to go up 4-2. However, Russia then won the last set by a single point to take the game to a shoot-off.
It came down to Deepika Kumari, who needed to find a perfect 10 to equal Russia's score. However, she only managed to get an eight as India were eliminated.
