The Indian women's archery team beat Colombia by five set points to three in their round of 16 clash at the Rio Olympics on Sunday. India will now play Russia in the quarter-finals.
The Indian team, comprising Deepika Kumari, Bombayla Devi Laishram and Laxmirani Majhi took the first two set points by beating Columbia 52-51, before their opponents levelled the score in the second set by winning 50-49.
A tight third set was tied 52-all after N Sanchez shot a 6 in the last game of the set. In the decider, India scored 52, before the Colombians were undone by a poor 3 in the last game of the set, as they could score only 44.
The quarter-final match against Russia will be played on Sunday at 11.45 pm IST.
