Indian women archers Deepika Kumari, Bombayla Devi and Laxmirani Majhi had a mixed outing in the ranking rounds of the individual and team events on Friday. After a brilliant start in the initial rounds, things went downhill for the trio.
Kumari finished 20th with a score of 640, Laishram 24th with 638 and Majhi a lowly 43rd with 614. As a result, the Indian women's team, comprising the three, finished seventh with 1,892 points. The Indian women could not replicate Antanu Das’s heroics in the men’s individual archery ranking round. Das finished fifth with a score of 683 out of a possible 720.
