Besides his wife Sarah Koeppe, Huddleston is survived by a son, a daughter-in-law and a recently adopted dog named Dooley.
Born in 1930, Huddleston started off as a United States Air Force mechanic. Of his many on-screen appearances, his most popular is the 1998 American crime comedy The Big Lebowski where he played the role of cranky millionaire Jeffrey Lebowski. Huddleston's other memorable roles include playing the mayor in Mel Brooks' Blazing Saddles and a Republican senator in The West Wing. He was nominated for an Emmy award in 1990 for his guest appearance as Granpa Arnold in The Wonder Years.
