Professional Indian boxer Vijender Singh was ranked 10th in the latest World Boxing Organisation rankings for the Super Middleweight Category (168 lbs). Singh was crowned the Asia Pacific Super Middleweight champion after he defeated former World Boxing Council European champion Kerry Hope in a 10-round contest in New Delhi last month.
The 30-year-old from Bhiwani, Haryana, is unbeaten in seven professional bouts so far, six of which he won via knockouts. But Singh has a long way to go if he has to catch up with the Super Middleweight category champion Gilberto Ramirez. The 25-year-old southpaw from Mexico has an astounding 34-0 record, with 24 of those bouts ending in knockout wins for the champion.
