If there is anything that the social media website Reddit and its 542 million monthly visitors do not lack, it is diversity and creativity. Every day communities and thread supply fact, fiction, videos and art to millions of readers and self-appointed critics.
Sketch Daily is one such vibrant community. It posts a new theme every day, with Redditors replying in the thread with their sketches and others giving feedback. On Sunday, the theme was India.
From digital artwork to Photoshop paintings, the thread was bursting with colours – and stereotypical depictions. Contributions ranged from elephants of all shapes and sizes to the snake charmer. There was even a sketch of a mahout, aside from a few henna designs made with sharpies.
Taj Mahal too had a fan following.
