Delhi's polluted air has been a hot topic of late, especially after the government's proposal to an introduce an odd-even number plate formula for cars to control vehicular emissions. Studies showing that the capital's air is more polluted than Beijing have caused further alarm. But India's air pollution problem isn't limited to Delhi. Most Indian cities and towns are faced with deteriorating air quality. While this is not a passing problem, what is missing is hard data. Efforts are on to create low-cost air sensors to help us know about more about air pollution in these places so that we can effectively deal with it.
