Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar unwittingly kicked up a Twitter storm on Friday by expressing his ire at British Airways for apparently losing a family member’s luggage. Tendulkar’s tweets this morning also said that his relative wasn't able to obtain confirmed tickets on the aircraft even though seats were empty.
This, he tweeted to the official handle of British Airways, made him “angry, disappointed and frustrated”.
In response, British Airways sent out a seemingly pre-drafted standard response asking for his full name, address and other details so that they could assist him with the incident.
Twitter users pounced on the opportunity to troll the airline while praising Tendulkar. Many other cricketers from England as well as India, meanwhile, were caught in the fire. Here’s a selection.
