None other than President Barack Obama called him a "new fashion icon", at the banquet hosted by President Pranab Mukherjee. Obama may have had his tongue firmly in cheek, but as the Rashtrapati Bhavan's Mughal gardens opened up for public viewing last weekend, it was the turn of Mukherjee to startle people with a look they hadn't seen before: black suit, dark sunglasses and killer poses.
Twitter immediately took notice and decided to do what social media does best to the photos that followed: add humour. The photos even made it to the coveted Reddit Photoshop Battles, which had been Narendra Modi's territory till now.
Modi has been placed in plenty of fun places via photoshop before, and now it's the President's turn. Scroll gives you a chance to decide who comes off looking most badass:
Reddit user katagalugan portrayed the prez as a rockstar
User dougieskate had already put the PM on the dance floor
Kim Jong-un would certainly have completed the trinity of the good, the bad and the ugly
AlgerB from Reddit had earlier made Modi walk the ramp at a Comic Con event.
NSA_007 depicted Mukherjee as if saying, "Let the hate flow through you."
TheRainbowMuffin on Reddit had already noticed the electric sparks flowing through the PM.
The prez rules. Like. A. Boss.
Even Headlines Today claimed to have accessed Modi's secret album
Just for context, here's a look at actual photos. First, the PM, from Jan 26:

And what the President of India tweeted on Feb 13:

Not that it was easy to tell the actual photos from the photoshopped ones:

But Twitter clearly had not had enough, as the fun continued the next day as well:
