Vijay Mallya is staring in the eye of another controversy and this time it is not because of his troubled Kingfisher Airlines.
Mallya, who is also the owner of the cricket team Royal Challengers Bangalore featuring in the Indian Premier League, is being roasted for his flip-flops since the IPL auction on Monday morning.
Mallya's team not only decided to bid for Yuvraj Singh in a close contest, but bid as much as Rs 15 crore for the firebrand batsman. What got tweets flowing, however, is that only two months back Mallya had released Yuvraj Singh from his team, after it finished second from bottom with five wins and nine defeats. RCB had earlier outbid Kolkata Knight Riders in a heated auction, and blown up Rs 14 crore, a big chunk of their cash, to get him on board.
While many believed that the RCB would use this freed up money on getting other players in the next auction, Mallya ended up bidding once more for Yuvraj Singh, even more than what he had earlier paid to bring him in the team (before releasing him after the season).
Singh was finally taken up by the Delhi Daredevils for Rs 16 crore.
And Yuvraj Singh wasn’t spared either.

Vijay Mallya's face at the auction is like someone at the Andheri station searching for harbour line platform.
