The news that Youngistaan, starring Jacky Bhagnani and Neha Sharma, has made it to the Oscar long list as an independent entry the Best Foreign Language Film category, has sent social media users into paroxysms of horror and mirth. Any movie that has at least a one-week theatrical release in Los Angeles in the United States can be accepted.
A Bollywood remake of Telugu film Leader, the film is the story of a young man who finds himself in the political spotlight after the sudden death of his father, the Prime Minister of India. Jacky Bhagnani’s character is reportedly based on Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi.
India’s official Oscar entry is Geetu Mohandas' Liar's Dice, but that hasn't prevented Jacky Bhagnani to being given a roasting on Twitter.

Not surprised that Youngistaan is going to Oscars. Playing role of Rahul Gandhi and showing he is visionary isn't a easy job.

Jackky Bhagnaani's Youngistaan is not India's Official Entry for Oscar. It is Private entry. Let Jury watch. Why should only Indians Suffer

Youngistaan nominated for Oscars in foreign language category. Possibly someone deceived jury by putting subtitles of interstellar.

Youngistan has been selected for the Oscars. Meanwhile, Christopher Nolan is worried that Sajid Khan may win Oscar for Humshakals.

If Youngistaan for Oscars than Rahul Gandhi for PM in 2019.
