Graphic artist M Gautham Raj, who re-imagines Tamil movie art on his Minimal Kollywood Posters Facebook page, pays a witty tribute to Rajinikanth in the style of the cutesy minions from the animated movie Despicable Me.

Rajinikanth as Sivaji, S Shankar’s vigilante movie in which he plays an educational reformer.

The Padayappa illustration is a reference to the famous swing sequence from the mega-hit movie. Refused a chair by the arrogant Nilambari, Rajinikanth’s character pulls down a swing from above and makes himself comfortable.

A loose remake of Hum, the film Baasha sees Rajinikanth as a humble autorickshaw driver who is actually a reformed gangster.
