Chai-wallahs around the country are often interesting characters, but 62-year-old Laxman Rao from Delhi has more stories to tell than most.
In fact, his stories are so unusual, he has written them down – in 24 books, 12 of which have been published. Rao displays the books, written over a period of 40 years, at his tea stall in Delhi's ITO area.
He honed his Hindi literary skills reading books he bought from the weekly Daryaganj book market nearby. A Delhi University graduate, Rao is currently pursuing a master's degree in Hindi literature.
