The debate on climate change has taken centre stage as legions of demonstrators gathered across the world demanding action on the issue. World leaders attended the United Nations climate summit on Tuesday to address climate change and lay the foundation for a climate treaty that is expected to come into effect by the end of 2015.

British economist and academic Nicholas Stern, a leading voice on climate changed, wrote a position paper, The New Climate Economy  which was presented to the UN climate summit. In this TED talk, he talks about his report which outlines an economic plan to fight climate change.
