Days after Home Minister Rajnath Singh claimed not to know what "love jihad" was, a Bharatiya Janata Party parliamentarian has accused madrasas of offering cash rewards to Muslim youths who allegedly woo women from other communities with a view to to converting them to Islam. Sakshi Maharaj, the MP from Unnao, on Sunday alleged that madrasas paid students Rs 11 lakhs to have an “affair” with a Sikh girl, Rs 10 lakh for a Hindu girl and Rs 7 lakh for a Jain girl.
Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party sets up Youth Wing
The Aam Aadmi Party announced the formation of its youth wing in the national capital on Sunday. The unit will officially be launched on September 27, the 107th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh. The AAP youth wing will primarily focus on employment generation and women's safety. It will recruit members between the ages of 21 and 35. The Delhi unit will be headed by AAP legislator Jarnail Singh.
Andhra Pradesh: CM orders ministers to bring iPads for cabinet meetings
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has directed his ministers to bring iPads to the weekly cabinet meetings instead of bundles of files. Naidu's is expected to hold the country's first "e-cabinet meeting", where discussions will revolve around the government's plan to implement their crop loan waiver scheme.
