The Jhelum and Chenab rivers overflowed this week, causing severe damage and flooding hundreds of villages connecting the rivers. Thousands of people have been displaced both in India and in Pakistan. Across the border, in the Pakistani region of Punjab, over half a million people have been affected and over more than 450 people have died.
Over in Vadodara, heavy rains in the central Gujarat region caused the level of the Vishwamitri river to rise to alarming heights. Several areas of the city were left in waist-deep water. Over 20,000 people have been evacuated so far.
Here's a look at the floods through Twitter and Instagram.
