West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WCHSE) has declared the 12th class result for the year 2020 today, July 17. The result has been declared but the link to check the result was activated at 4.00 pm.

Once the result link is activated, it will be available on the official results website, wbresults.nic.in.

Students have managed to score a pass percentage of 90.13% this year which is an improvement of around 3.2 percentage points compared to 2019. Boys have scored a pass percentage of 90.44% whereas 90% of girls cleared the exam this year.

Science stream students have scored a pass percentage of 98.83%, Commerce students managed 92.22%, and Arts students achieved 88.74%. Kolkata performed the best in terms of pass percentage followed by East Midnapore and West Midnapore in second and third spot, respectively.

How to check WB 12th results:

  1. Visit the West Bengal results website.
  2. Once the result is declared, a link will get activated. Click on it.
  3. Enter the required details and submit.
  4. The result will be displayed.

4.02 pm: The link to check the result has been activated on the official website, wbresults.nic.in.

3.49 pm: Indianexpress.com reports that this is the highest ever pass percentage recorded for the WB 12th class examination.

3.47 pm: This is an improvement of 3.2 percentage points compared to 2019.

3.46 pm: WB 12th students have achieved a pass percentage of 90.13%, according to NDTV.

3.40 pm: The result has been declared. However, the link to check the result will be activated after 4.00 pm.

3.34 pm: This year WBCHSE will not release any merit list.

3.28 pm: The press conference to announce the result has begun, reports NDTV. The result is expected any time now.

12.51 pm: The result is expected to be declared at 3.30 pm, reports Times of India, through a virtual press conference.

12.03 pm: This year college admissions in the state will be fully done online, reports NDTV, according to state’s higher education department.

11.31 am: Around 8 lakh students have appeared for the 12th examination this year from the state.

10.31 am: Madhyamik result was announced on July 15. The students scored a pass percentage of 86.34%. Boys had performed better than girls with a pass percentage of boys is 89.87% compared to girls who have managed to score a pass percentage of 86.34%.

9.22 am: In 2019, WCHSE had declared the 12th result on May 27, 2019. The students had managed to get a pass percentage of 86.92%.

9.12 am: Once the result is declared, a link to check the result will get activated on wbresults.nic.in.

9.11 am: The exact time of the result is not revealed yet but it is expected that the result will be released in the afternoon hours.
