Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, has declared the 10th class or Matric results. The BSE president has announced the result via press conference today and candidates can check their result online from 11 am onward, Indian Express reported.
The board had issued a strong statement on May 20th quashing the rumours on the results coming out today and asked parents and students to not fall for rumours. The result, once declared, will be available at bseodisha.nic.in and orissaresults.nic.in.
The board president Jahan Ara Begum told Indianexpress.com, “The board will take strong steps against the officials identified in spreading rumours. The class 10 results are not coming on May 20. The report also added that the students and parents are advised to remain cautious of the rumours and be patient. The result is expected to be declared this week.
More than 5 lakh candidates have appeared for Class 10 exams that were conducted from February 23 to March 8, 2019. In 2018, the result was declared on May 7th and the overall pass percentage stood at 76.23 percent. For open school candidates, the pass percentage was 41.93. A total of 36 schools had registered zero results.

10.54 am: Students who failed to clear one or two subject only in the Odisha Class 10th exam 2019 are eligible to appear for the supplementary exam. This is a chance for students to pass in the unsuccessful subject in 2019 itself. The exam will be held in July, 2019.
10.50 am: A total of 2,05,470 girls cleared the exam while 1,91,655 boys pass the exam. Meaning pass percentage for girl students is much higher compared to boys in Odisha 10th result 2019.
10.02 am: A total of 5,61,079 students had appeared for the BSE Odisha class 10 exam of which 3,97,125 students have passed the matric exam. This automatically translates to 70.78 pass percentage.
9.35 am: The pass percentage for 2019 is at 70.78 percent. This is a substantial drop from last year in 2018 when the pass percentage was at 76.28 percent.

9.24 am: A total of 289 schools have shown 100 percent result while on the other hand 82 schools have declared zero results for Odisha 10th exam.

9.20 am: President of BSE, Jahan Ara has announced the class 10 result for Odisha board in open and regular mode. Students can check their result online from 11 am onwards, Indian Express reported. The pass percentage and other details expected soon.
9.05 am: The Odisha 10th result 2019 is expected to be announced soon. The press conference was scheduled to begin at 9 am as per earlier reports. More than 5 lakh students are awaiting their BSE Odisha 10th result 2019.
8.10 am: While the BSE Odisha 10th Result 2019 date has been confirmed, the results are expected to be declared at 9 am first at a press conference. Following that the results will be available on the official website orissaresults.nic.in and bseodisha.nic.in, Times Now News reported.
8.52 pm: The board has now issued a statement in a press conference stating that the result will be coming out tomorrow, May 21st, confirms Times of India.

9.28 am: A board official informed Indian Express, “the result date has not been decided yet. I am requesting all the students to be patient, the board is likely to announce the results in the third week of May, “
9.27 am: Indiaexpress.com is reporting that the result will not be coming out today. The information about the results being declared today were just rumours.
9:23 am: Last year, about 6 lakh students had appeared for the examinations and of that, a total of 4,85,989 students had cleared the matric exam.
9:22 am: Only few moments left for the result to be declared. Over 5 lakh students are eagerly waiting for the result to be announced.
9:08 am: The students are advised to keep their admit card or hall tickets ready. Once the result is declared, they can visit bseodisha.nic.in or orissaresults.nic.in to check for the result.
9:07 am: On May 15th, Odisha board secretary Jahan Ara Begum had informed the press, “Though earlier it was decided to declare the results of class 10 examination by May 14, but due to cyclone Fani, there was a delay in the declaration of results. The results of SSC Class 10 examination will be declared on May 20, 2019.”
9:05 am: The board was expected to release the result in the first or second week of May. However, due to the destruction that the state faced in Cyclone Fani, the process of result declaration was delayed.
9.03 am: Around 5 lakh students have appeared for the 10th board exam from the state according to various sources.
