The Bihar Secondary Education Board (BSEB) is expected to declare the results of 2018 12th or Inter compartment exam on August 20th. The results were expected to be declared on August 16th, but had to be postponed due to the death of former PM AB Vajpayee, reports the Indian Express. The results, once declared, will be made available at the official website, biharboardonline.com.
An official from BSEB has reportedly said to Indian Express, “Due to the demise of the former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the results of Bihar BSEB Class 12 compartment exams was not declared yesterday. The results cannot be declared today also as it is a state mourning, the board is likely to declare the results on Monday, August 20.”
The report also states that around 1.55 lakh candidates had appeared in the 2018 12th compartment exam in the state. The board had conducted the exam from July 13th to 20th. Recently, on August 5th, the board had released the answer keys for the objective portion of the exam and had invited students to raise objections on or before August 8th.
The board conducts compartment exam for students who did not clear one or two subjects in the 12th class board exam. The BSEB had declared 12th class board result on June 6th and the students had scored a pass percentage of 53%.
