It would seem that we could soon see Oppo, the selfie-centric smartphone brand, launch its upcoming device F9 Pro for the Indian market. In the past few days, Oppo India has posted a series of updates on its official Twitter account revealing a handful details about the upcoming device. What’s noteworthy, though, is that almost identical teaser images and video grabs have been shared by Oppo Malayasia, where the phone is named Oppo F9.
As far as the Oppo F9 Pro is concerned, the device will feature the stand-out Waterdrop screen, advanced VOOC-flash charge, a dual rear camera setup and uniquely blended colour variants. The company also claims 90.8% screen-to-body ratio for Oppo F9 Pro, which is impressive.
An earlier report hinted at the inclusion of a fast charging feature and mixed colour options, but now it is confirmed that the phone will be offered in three colour options; namely, Sunrise Red, Twilight Blue, and Starry Purple.
Notably, Oppo India has roped in fashion designer Manish Arora to design a piece of clothing that embodies the vibrant ‘gradient design’ of the Oppo F9 Pro. Also, fans stand a chance of winning the upcoming smartphone by sharing a custom Facebook profile badge; fans will have to update their profile picture with the F9 Pro badge silhouette.
Oppo Malaysia, meanwhile, has confirmed the technical specifications for the F9, which is a 6.3-inch device which features a 16+2 megapixel dual rear camera setup. It is largely apparent that the Oppo F9, to be launched in the Malaysian market, and the F9 Pro could well be identical devices with only the name tweak for the two markets. However, nothing official has been confirmed by the company on this. The Oppo F9 Pro is expected out soon in India, but no word on the launch date has been revealed by the brand.
