Mumbai and Pune Universities declared the fourth merit list for FYJC 2018 admission on their admission portals today, August 7th. Mumbai students can access the 4th FYJC merit list at mumbai.11thadmission.net, while Pune students can access it at pune.11thadmission.net. Students who qualify for admission based on the 4th FYJC merit list will have to report to the college and complete the admission formalities before August 9th.
First year junior college (FYJC) admissions for all colleges in Maharashtra are done through a centralized system. The first allotment results for FYJC 2018 admissions was declared on July 6th. The process was put on hold due to litigation filed with the Mumbai High Court’s Nagpur Bench with regards to minority quota being transferred to the centralized admission process.
Here is how to check the FYJC fourth merit list
- Log on the relevant FYJC admission portal. Here it is for Mumbai and Pune.
- Click on the relevant link on the home page to access the FYJC fourth merit list.
- Enter your registration number.
- The seat allotment result will be displayed and can be printed out for admission.
According to the Indian Express, less than 50% of the 2.4 lakh students who applied for admission in Mumbai colleges have secured seats. The situation in Nagpur and Amravati is much better, where 77% and 72% students, respectively, have managed to secure admissions.
Students can also check their eligibility for admissions by clicking on the ‘Check your Eligibility’ link and entering relevant details. The colleges where the candidates can apply will be displayed.
