Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) declared the second allotment result for NEET 2018 counselling today, August 1st. Students who have applied to take part in the MCC counselling can check the official website, mcc.nic.in, to see if their name appears on the list. Candidates whose names appear in the second round of allotment need to report to the institution from August 2nd to August 8th.

The second round of counselling for NEET 2018 was put on hold in accordance to a decision by Madras High Court, which had instructed CBSE to compensate for ambiguous translations in the NEET question paper for students giving the exam in Tamil language. Supreme Court on Wednesday gave permission for institutes to continue with their counselling process.

There will one more mop-up round for central, deemed and ESICs institutions under the MCC counselling, registration for which will be done from August 12th to August 14th. Candidates can lock the choices for the round on August 15th and the allotment result will be declared on August 17th.

Candidates will not get an option to leave or resign once the seats are allocated in the second around. All the vacant seats after this phase will be transferred to state quota for NEET counselling.

Here is how to check for MCC 2018 second allotment result:

  1. Log in to the official MCC website.     
  2. Click on ‘Result of Round 2’ link under ‘Download’ section.     
  3. The result of second round can be accessed on the document.    

Candidates can download the allotment letter for the second round by clicking on the link and entering the rolling number and clicking on ‘Submit’. The updated counselling schedule can be accessed in this link.

CBSE had declared the NEET 2018 result on June 4th and 53.85% out of around 13.26 lakh students who had given the exam qualified to participated in the counseling process. Kalpana Kumari from Bihar topped the NEET 2018 exam with a score of 691 out of 720. Rohan Purohit from Telangana and Himanshu Sharma from Delhi have bagged the second spot, each scoring 690 out of 720.
