Sony kicked off the year 2018 with a brand new look for their XZ2 by doing away with the boxy design and introducing an arched glass back for their flagship. Now, it is rumoured that Sony might incorporate newer design elements on its upcoming phone, the Xperia XZ3, as well.
Based on the leaks presented by Twitter-based tipster @OnLeaks, new curves have been spotted on the Xperia XZ3 and they appear on the sides of the screen. This is similar to the curved design offered by Samsung’s Edge series phones.
The phone, however, retains two big bezels at the top and bottom with Sony branding on the latter, in the leaks. And, judging by the photos, it doesn’t have a 3.5 mm headphone jack and gets only a single camera at the rear. Sony seems to be reserving the dual rear camera setup for its premium models as seen earlier on the Xperia XZ2 premium.
Although not many technical details can be gauged from the leaked renders, the phone may sport a 5.7-inch full HD+ notchless screen along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 CPU, 6GB of RAM at most, Compareraja, a price comparison website, posted as ‘an exclusive’ on its blog.
And, according to speculation by numerous sites, the Sony Xperia XZ3 will likely be unveiled by the Japanese mobile communications firm in August at the IFA 2018, a consumer electronics trade expo.
