Samsung is definitely upping the ante with their much awaited Galaxy S10 line-up, one of which will reportedly be equipped with five cameras, according to what can be gleaned from Korean-language financial news site The Bell.
As several media reports suggest, the smartphone maker plans to launch the Galaxy S10 in March 2019, in the same time frame as its 10th anniversary flagship. In contrast, a report by Nashville Chatter says that Samsung may debut the Galaxy S10 series at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February 2019.
The most striking feature of the Samsung Galaxy S10, according to the latest leak, is its five-camera setup. The Galaxy S10 Plus will apparently have three cameras or a triple-lens camera on the back, a setup that includes an ultra-wide-angle camera, The Bell report suggests. It is also reportedly have two front cameras.
The report further adds that there are three phones currently under-development by Samsung in the Galaxy S10 series. Those are expected to be the S10 Plus (code-named Beyond 2) and two other lower specification models, Beyond 1 (S10) and Beyond 0.
If the rumours turn out to be true, this will be the first time that Samsung Electronics will have an ultra-wide-angle camera on a Galaxy model. The ultra-wide-angle camera helps capture large structures in a single frame, such as a large building or a natural environment images, as it photographs a larger background than a person’s view.
