The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, has postponed the registration deadline for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2026 or GATE 2026. Eligible students can apply for the exam at gate2026.iitg.ac.in till October 6 without late fee. The last date to apply with the late fee is October 9, 2025. Earlier, the registration deadline was September 28, 2025.
GATE 2026 is likely to be conducted from February 7 to 15, 2026. The results are scheduled for March 19, 2025. The GATE score obtained by the candidate will remain valid for a period of three years from the date of announcement of results.
Candidates who are currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program or who have completed any government approved degree program in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Humanities are eligible to appear for GATE 2026.
