India sealed their third successive series win with an emphatic innings and 36-run victory over England in the fourth Test in Mumbai on Monday.
Resuming the day on 182 for six, England cmanaged to add just 13 more runs. They lost their remaining four wickets for 195 to hand India an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series, with one to go.
Ravichandran Ashwin added six wickets to his five-wicket haul in the first innings to finish with figures of 12/167 from the game.
Ashwin had got into his groove a day earlier with two late wickets. He maintained his momentum on Monday to scalp all four remaining wickets to help wrap the England innings in just around 30 minutes.
The win prompted wild celebrations from the team and the ardent fans who had made it to the ground early. The Indian side acknowledged the fans with a lap around the ground and a special video from the dressing room.
