A hat-trick by Marcelinho helped Delhi Dynamos trounce FC Goa 5-1 in an Indian Super league match at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium on Sunday.
The win took Delhi to the second spot in the ISL table. Marcelinho also took his tally of goals this season to eight, to take a sizeable lead in the top-scorers list.
FC Goa opened the scoring through Fulganco Cardozo in the 31st minute. Delhi equalised seven minutes later as the 29-old Brazilian winger scored his first. He helped his side take the lead three minutes into the second half.
Delhi doubled the lead three minutes later through Richard Gadze. Pereira was back on the scoreboard in the 56th minute to bring up his hat-trick. Gadze scored his second just a minute later to complete the drubbing.
Delhi have 20 points, while Goa have 11 points from 13 games.
