The US presidential elections are scheduled to take place on November 8. The Obamas' days in office are drawing to a close. Maybe that's why POTUS Barack Obama and FLOTUS Michelle Obama are in high spirits.
At their annual White House Halloween trick-or-treat event, where 4,000 people from local elementary schools were in attendance, the duo showed up, both of them in a mood for jokes, and bust out some cool dance moves.
"Young man, no selfies in the middle of me talking. And Darth Vader, back up a little, I'm getting spooked," the President said and added, "You guys look cool, or scary or whatever-you-are-trying-to-be."
He spoke about FLOTUS's push for health plans. "We hope, parents, that on this day at least, you don't have to pay attention to Michelle and healthy eating. And in fact, the more candy, the later you eat the candy, the better, because I think you being up all night with a sugar rush is exactly what your parents are looking for."
And then the duo began dancing to the Michael Jackson hit Thriller.
Later in the party, a less-than-impressed Obama met a "lame duck", a tag the outgoing President has been trying hard to reject.
Here's the original Jackson video, the moves from which the Obamas were trying to recreate.
