Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton outperformed her Republican rival Donald Trump at the third and final debate at Las Vegas, according to a number of polls conducted on the basis of viewers' opinions. The two clashed over a number of issues, including immigration, abortion and US-Russia relations.

According to the CNN/ORC poll of those who watched the debate, Clinton won it with 52% of the votes, while 39% thought Trump did better. With this, Clinton swept all three presidential debates as per the CNN poll – 62% of those surveyed after the first debate on September 26 voted in favour of Clinton as against Trump's 27%; her viewership support dropped to 57% against Trump's 34% after the second debate.

In its latest poll, Fox News gave the Democrat a lead with 63% over Trump's 36%. YouGov's post-debate survey of 1,503 registered voters who watched the debate also found Clinton in the lead with 49% of their support, ahead of the Republican's 39%. Vox news, too, declared the former US secretary of state the winner of the third debate.

The third heated debate was held while Trump has been mired in allegations of sexual assault and been criticised after a tape of him boasting about groping women was leaked. He also refused to commit to accepting the outcome of the US presidential election scheduled for November 8, which Clinton dubbed as her rival "talking down our democracy". After the first debate, Trump had claimed that it had been rigged and later said the results of the election could be, as well.
