A satirical video by Asia’s Next Animation Studio looks at Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s split with a rather critical eye.
The video starts with a play on words, referring to Pitt and the marriage. There are also constant direct and indirect references to Mr and Mrs Smith, the 2005 film which is well-known for marking the couple’s relationship.
Several rumours are addressed in the video with the help of graphics, such as Pitt’s alleged affair with Marion Cotillard, experimenting with hard drugs in London and Jolie hiring a private investigator to get to the bottom of the issue.
Crucial information, in other words, that everyone needed to know.
The video ends on a grim note. “But honestly, if Brad and Angelina Jolie can’t be happy together, what hope do the rest of us mortals have?”
