New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham has been ruled out of the first Test match against India which begins in Kanpur on September 22, due to a rib injury.
"Jimmy was struck in the nets and has been in discomfort the last few days," said NZ coach Mike Hesson to ESPNCricinfo. "It will take a few days for the bruising to go away, but it's very much a short-term injury."
No replacement has been named for Neesham yet. The all-rounder joins Tim Southee and Mitchell McClenaghan who have already pulled out of the tour after sustaining injuries.
