Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor on Friday denied having slapped or shoved anyone, after a video that purportedly showed him and his brother Randhir Kapoor being violent with people who appeared to be reporters. The incident took place as The Kapoors were heading to Dadar, Mumbai, to immerse their Ganesh idol. "The way police raise their batons as a warning, I gestured to them to keep them in check. I didn't hit anybody," Rishi Kapoor told The Bombay Times.
Rishi reportedly lost his temper after mediapersons asked the Kapoors to pose for a few photographs. In the video, he appears to push a reporter (who approached him for an audio byte) and slap others. The 64-year-old said, "It's unfortunate that we are being condemned. I know how to tackle the crowd."
