When you're a professional athlete at the top tier of your sport, you're used to brilliance. So when even your opponent can't believe what you've pulled off, you know you've done something extraordinary.
Dutch table tennis player Kelly van Zon blew everyone away with a stupendous return during a women's table tennis singles match at the 2016 Paralympics in Rio de Janerio on Saturday. Her opponent, Turkey's Kubra Korkut played a neat cross table shot and relaxed, believing that it would be beyond van Zon to return.
But van Zon dived to her right and pulled off a fantastic return to win the point, leaving her opponent speechless. Have a look at Korkut's expression when she realises that she has lost the point.
The 28-year-old van Zon won gold in the same event at the 2012 Paralympics in London and bronze in 2008 at Beijing. She will defend her gold medal in the final against the same opponent on Tuesday.
