Hindutva groups are not pleased with Delhi Belly writer Akshat Verma's 16-minute-long film Mama's Boys, a satirical retelling of the Mahabharata . The organisations claim the movie, which is based on Draupadi's polygamous marriage to the Pandavas, is a "bad joke" on their religion and have demanded that the makers take it off YouTube, India Today reported.
Hindu Mahasabha chief Swami Chakrapani said it showed Kunti and Draupadi "in bad light" and that an FIR should be filed against Verma and all the actors in the movie, which include Amol Parashar, Aditi Rao Hydari and Neena Gupta. Hindu Sena leader Vishnu Gupta warned that the filmmakers will "face the wrath" of the group if they do not remove it from YouTube immediately.
