Indian golfer Aditi Ashok shot a card of five-over 76 on the final day of the women's golf event on Saturday to finish with an overall ranking of 41.
For the first time in four days, Ashok did not have any birdies and her final day score also included three bogeys and one double bogey. She finished with an overall total of seven-over-par 291.
South Korea's Inbee Park became the first individual women's golf medallist since 1904 after finishing on top with a cumulative score of 16-under-par 268. New Zealand's Lydia Ko won silver with a total of 11-under-par 273, while China's Shanshan Feng won the bronze with a total of 10-under-par 274.
For the 18-year-old Ashok though, it was still a respectable finish. She was in the top 10 after hitting cards of 68 on each of the first two days. However, her score of 79 on the third day led to her slipping down the rankings.
